Today, and interns attended the Morning Plenary Session of Main Committee II of the NPT Review Conference, where states debated draft language surrounding safeguards, transparency, and strengthening commitments under the Treaty.

Discussions reflected ongoing divisions over accountability, nuclear security, and the interpretation of key provisions within the NPT framework.

Today our youth advisor was selected by UNIDIR to deliver a youth statement on the intersections of youth empowerment, human rights, and gender equality in nuclear diplomacy. We are honored to participate in the event organized by the permanent missions of Malta 🇲🇹, Austria 🇦🇹, and Mexico 🇲🇽 to the UN as well as the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research 🇺🇳
