I appreciate the offer. Because this is my guyyyyyyyy……but also, nah. I’ll wait til summer to get elote on Roosevelt or in Flushing Meadow Park out of a dirty shopping cart. 🤦🏾‍♂️

I’m real brothers with people that I played basketball with. We had to know what each other is capable of. We had to predict each others movements. We had to help each other through weakness. We had to lose together. We had to defer to the leader in the group. We had to play a role. We had to be the leader. We had to hold each other accountable. We had to take that same skillset and apply it to the world on some real *****.

Of course he knows I won’t “fight” him. But that’s the connection that male educators get to have with young men. They understand the separation, but they also understand the closeness of it. As for the cursing 4th grader……i was a cursing 4th grader. And I’m a cursing adult. But I have self control and discipline that I expect from ALL CHILDREN. And I don’t shy away from leading kids THE RIGHT WAY.

This is interesting. Culturally I completely fw this. But we’re sending our children into a system. The system punishes what mom/dad said to do. It’s design has repercussions for everyone involved in “the situation.” How do we protect our families and make sure that we’re still protected. Doesn’t that seem like a relative question. Pun always intended.

Being active can come in many forms. So I ain’t gonn knock the way any one helps the community. But we need to move beyond the learned helplessness. And we also have to stop promoting helplessness. There are more winners than losers out here. On hood.

No, like……..yall don’t get it. Some of these kids….ELEMENTARY SCHOOL KIDS…….have behavior that CAN’T go unchecked. This is my lil homie frfr. He’s spontaneous and full of energy. But he’s not bad to me. He needs to know time & place. Norms. Because trouble is easy to get into and hard af to get out of. We out here tho. 💪🏾

“Allow me to reintroduce myself” season!!! Prepare for me to be more outside than I’ve ever been. Also, we have to acknowledge all the good people doing good things out here. The positive is outweighing the negative by a long shot. I’ll be working side by side with THE ORDER OF THE FEATHER until our Father’s Day event. I’m here to build. We can talk about anything.
