New York Mills Football is looking to attend a team camp this summer.

We are aware of the conflict with baseball, but have already confirmed no games will be missed.

This is a team camp. All coaches and players are needed. It requires attendance to be successful. Without attendance, we would be unable to put a team on the grass for a scrimmage.

We are aware of the cost. The football booster club will assist, but we are unsure exactly how much until we have a final head count on attendance. Please, do not let cost be the reason you don’t attend.

A few days ago, members of our football family had a fire, which destroyed their entire home.

Ashton is a prior player, Garrett is a current player, and Brad has been instrumental in our off season fundraising.

This is a key family to our program.

Please consider donating if you are able to help this part of our family rebuild.

Proud to call ourselves Eagles.

The first football team in New York Mills was organized in 1933 by Ralph Henry Smith, who was the school principal. He also became the coach. In the line are Elmo "Swede" Johnson, Cerl Karjala, Orville Lake, Ralph Pernula, Russell Lund, Ray Setterholm, Edwin Maki. Standing in the backfield are Paul Lake, Joe Winogradof (left side), Doran Vaughn, and Sherman Heinonen (right side). The backfield was composed of Carl Matala, William Haakana and Harley Karvonen with Russell Thompson in the fullback spot. Coach Smith stands in the background. Calling All New York Mills Fans!

We’re in the process of putting together a New York Mills Football record board at the school, and we want to make sure no great performances or record-holders are left out. Unfortunately, we’re missing some stats from past seasons.

If you have old stat books, newspaper clippings, programs, or any records, please send photos via Messenger to the NYM Football page or directly to Coach Hocking by February 13th. Your help will ensure our school’s history is accurately represented for years to come.

Our football awards banquet will be Thursday, November 6 at 6:00 PM at the high school.

We’ll celebrate the season, hand out awards, and recognize our players. Players and parents—come enjoy a great night together as we wrap up the year.

Seniors and Juniors — Equipment turn-in after school.
Junior meetings will follow. Please bring your info sheet with you.

Tuesday:
Sophomores and Freshmen — Equipment turn-in and meetings after school.
Please bring your info sheet with you.

Wednesday:
8th Grade — Team meeting after school, along with equipment turn-in.
