Today, we were honored to welcome Governor Kathy Hochul to Tuckahoe as she celebrated New York State's historic investment in expanding free Pre-K opportunities. With more than 400 school districts across New York adding new Pre-K seats, families are gaining greater access to high-quality early learning programs.

As the Community-Based Organization (CBO) partner serving Tuckahoe, we are proud to be part of this effort, helping prepare young learners for a lifetime of success while supporting working families in our community.

At Healthy Kids, you'll hear us say this often: Kids deserve the chance to be kids.

It's a simple idea, but one we believe is more important than ever.

In a world where childhood is increasingly filled with screens, busy schedules, and constant pressure to achieve, we believe children also need something else.

Time to play.

Time to imagine.

Time to build friendships.

Time to explore new interests.

Time to gain confidence.

Time to discover who they are.

We believe some of life's most important lessons happen during a game of kickball, creating a masterpiece, helping someone feel included, or simply laughing with friends.

These moments aren't "extra." They're essential.

Our Kids Being Kids philosophy reminds us that every program, every activity, and every interaction should create opportunities for children to laugh, explore, belong, and grow.

Because when children are free to be curious, creative, and connected, they're building skills they'll carry with them for the rest of their lives.

Cue the happy tears. 🥹🎓 The Chappaqua UPK Moving Up Ceremony was filled with smiles, proud families, and lots of excitement for what's next.

Watching these children grow in confidence, curiosity, friendships, and independence throughout the year has been an incredible privilege. We are so proud of everything they have accomplished and grateful to the families who trusted us to be part of their journey.

Another school year is in the books, and we just want to say THANK YOU.

To our Before & After School teams, Early Learning educators, UPK teachers, and Summer Camp staff-thank you for showing up each day with energy, patience, creativity, and heart.

Thank you for the games, the crafts, the conversations, the encouragement, the laughter, and all the little moments that helped children feel safe, supported, and excited to be part of our programs.

This year, you helped children make friends, build confidence, try new things, and create memories they'll carry with them long after the school year ends.

The impact you make is bigger than you know.

When Paris Faison joined Healthy Kids as a Childcare Assistant, she never imagined where the journey would lead.

Over the years, she grew into leadership roles, served as a Regional Director, and today helps guide our Early Learning division as Associate Executive Director of Early Learning.

Her story is a reminder that when talented people are given opportunities to grow, amazing things can happen.

Every child wants to feel capable. That’s what Adventure Island is all about at Healthy Kids Summer Camp.

This week is filled with hands-on exploration and team challenges from Treasure Hunt missions and Pirate Training Courses to relays and real-life scavenger hunts- all designed to help campers try new things and realize:

“I can do this.”

During Adventure Island, campers will:

☀️ Explore and discover
☀️ Work together on team missions
☀️ Solve real challenges outdoors
☀️ Grow independence with every new task

By Friday, they won’t just have completed activities. They’ll walk a little taller.
