A BIG thank you to MR Paving & Excavating, Inc for the soil! The kids had a blast watching them upload it and they are so excited to start their classroom gardens!

The teachers will have the kids help grow flowers and vegetables and teach them all about gardening! Each class will have a garden box.

Kids X-Cel Center is a play-based early learning center that is passionate about teaching children ages six weeks to kindergarten. We are looking for teachers who have a genuine love for children and a commitment to high quality care and education. Someone who will hug, teach, play, engage, and provide a nurturing environment for every child. We believe that stability and consistency are vital to a child’s well-being and development, so we want someone who is looking for a long-term commitment with us.

Job Description
1. Ensure the safety and health of all children.
2. Provide a nurturing and positive learning environment.
3. Assist classroom teachers in implementing the curriculum and developing lesson plans and activities that meet each child’s developmental needs.
4. Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
5. Ensure Kids X-Cel Center’s Child Care Program Plan is implemented at all times.
6. Complete daily records for each child enrolled.
7. Communicate with families on a daily basis.
8. Ensure daily opening and closing checklists are completed.
9. Attend professional and personal development trainings.

Qualifications
1. Must meet the Minnesota Department of Humans Services (DHS) qualifications of an Assistant Teacher. Experience and education are required.
2. Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
3. Ability to follow the lead of the Lead Teacher and provide support where needed.
4. Strong communication and organizational skills.
