It was really cool and a great privilege to be able to start as a freshman running back for the DMLC Lancers. We defeated Upper Iowa University and then we defeated Marquette University to start out the season 2 and 0. I was blessed to have my photo along with Kevin Kutz making a great block for me on the front page of the New Ulm Journal. Our football team had a great start for DMLC that went on to have a very good football season in the Fall of 1981. Our DMLC Lancers football team went on to defeat the Northwestern College Trojans for the very first time. Great memories of 45 years ago! 🏈
