It takes a village may seem worn out, but the truth behind that statement is undeniable! Our PTSA supports many activities and programs on campus that enhance our Stingrays middle school years. Most notable is the PBIS store that students shop in with their points earned for respect, responsibility, cooperation and safety. PTSA fundraising supplies the store 100%. ♥️Bottom line: Doing the fundraisers directly affects Stingrays. The Kindness Fundraiser is happening right now and there’s cool prizes for students including a soft cookie 🍪 blanket! Volusia County Schools

🍪Everyone can use more kindness! And a cookie blanket as a reward for signing up! Tomorrow is the kickoff day for the kindness fundraiser.

Stingrays will bring home paperwork tomorrow with details on how to sign up. There’s NO door to door selling! Our PTSA fundraiser is what funds our PBIS store, one of our school dances and multiple projects around campus. It’s a win win!

Adriana Watkins, 11, a sixth-grade student at New Smyrna Beach Middle School has earned national recognition for her artistic achievement with the selection of her artwork for inclusion in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) 2027 Atlantic Highly Migratory Species Calendar. The annual publication showcases student artwork from across the United States celebrating marine life, scientific research, and ocean conservation.

📚 Check out our Stingrays who were busy reading over the summer! Students logged enough minutes to earn Little Caesar’s rewards and Daytona Tortuga tickets in the Superintendent’s Summer Reading Challenge. Mrs. Sturles (Steele) won the Volusia County Public Library Summer Reading Challenge for all adults in Volusia. Talk about practice what you preach! Reading only makes you better!
