Our Faculty and Staff enjoyed a wonderful Welcome Back Breakfast as we celebrated an incredible achievement... New Smyrna Beach High School is officially an A-Rated School! ⭐🏆

A huge THANK YOU to Aunt Catfish's for treating our teachers and staff to a delicious breakfast. Your generosity and support mean so much to our Cuda family! ❤️

The celebration continued with a monstrous lunch spread generously provided by Davis Brothers. Thank you for always thinking of our teachers and staff and helping us feel appreciated. 🍽️❤️

Welcome Back Cudas!

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! We are excited to welcome our students back to campus on Monday, August 10.

First Day Arrival Procedures

Campus doors will open at 7:45 a.m. Students must enter through the single point of entry located next to Building 1.

To enter campus, all students must:

Present their 2026-2027 hard-copy school photo ID card
Complete the required metal detector screening


Students who did not attend orientation and do not yet have a 2026-2027 photo ID should report directly to the auditorium upon arrival. They will receive their ID before being permitted onto campus. Plan to arrive early to ensure that you receive your printed ID before 1st period begins.

Please ensure your student brings their physical school ID each day, as is required for campus entry.



Student Schedules

All students should review their updated and final schedule prior to first period on Monday. Final student schedules are available through VPortal/Gradebook. Instructions to access your schedule online are attached to this communication.

Please note:

Printed schedules will not be distributed on the first day of school.
Many schedules have been adjusted over the past week, so students should verify their schedule before arriving on campus.
Students requesting a schedule adjustment will receive access to a QR Code & link to request a schedule change during the 1st week of school.


Breakfast and Lunch

Breakfast and lunch will be provided free of charge to all students during the 2026-2027 school year.



Off-Campus Lunch Privileges

Off-campus lunch privileges for students in grades 10-12 will begin on Tuesday, August 11, following grade-level presentations.

On Monday August 10, students eligible for off-campus lunch should:

Bring a packed lunch or eat in the school cafeteria
Off Campus Lunch Permission Slip is attached to this communication.


Parking Passes

Eligible Students may purchase parking passes during the first week of school through the Activities Office. Please ensure the parking pass application has been completed. Parking Pass application is attached to this communciation.



Student Laptops

All Students will check out school-issued laptops during the first week of school through the Media Center – please ensure the Student Device Parent Acknowledgement Form has been completed in Parent Portal, as it is required for laptop check out.



Required Parent Forms

Parents must complete all required back-to-school forms through Parent Portal. Parents who need a Parent Portal PIN should contact:

Plan for Traffic

As with any new school year, traffic during the first week is expected to be heavier than usual. Please plan to arrive early to ensure students are on time for first period.
