To clear up some confusion…
The workers that run the beach trash can service are very bent out of shape that someone has been putting trash bags of watermelon rinds inside those lifted trash cans. They ask us to leave it on the ground next to the post where it is easier for them to grab. Therefore, this is exactly what we do at clean up. Apparently someone out there likely feels that they are cleaning up by putting it inside The Can. We are in direct communication (receiving the brunt end of it!) with the clean up crew, although we have been following their own “instructions” over the years. So short from making watermelon w**e, please, leave this trash bag alone. As they say, “No good deed goes unpunished”. Getting lambasted is not on our to do list. 😜 Please message us if you have new concerns. 😍
