Today marks 25 years since September 11, 2001, a day that forever changed our nation.
We remember the nearly 3,000 lives taken too soon. We honor the first responders, service members, educators, neighbors, and ordinary people who showed extraordinary courage in the face of unimaginable tragedy. And we continue to hold close the families and communities who carry the weight of that day, and those impacted by the health illnesses caused by these toxic exposures.
For many of the children we serve today, September 11 is history rather than a memory. That makes our responsibility to remember, to teach, and to share the stories of courage, service, sacrifice, and unity even more important.
Twenty-five years later, we still remember.
We honor. We teach. We will never forget. 🇺🇸
