Wednesday afternoon found Union 28 staff gathered at Swift River school for PD work! Discussion topics included report card updates,inclusion practices, writing PD and supporting social-emotional needs!

Come celebrate Diemand Farm and check out the story walk presented by the Union 28 Community Network for Children!!! So much to celebrate in our Union 28 communities!!!

As part of our 90th Anniversary Celebration next Saturday 9/12, the Community Network for Children (CNC) has brought a special pop-up StoryWalk to Diemand Farm featuring Eric Carle’s Rooster’s Off to See the World.

We’re so grateful to CNC for helping us make our anniversary celebration even more special. Come celebrate with us and be sure to take a walk with Rooster while you’re here!

The hallway near the art room at SRS has a new artistic tribute on display. Last year, after the unexpected loss of our dear teacher/friend Melissa Stevens, the community at Swift River took to learning one of her favorite pastimes- crocheting. This wall hanging was created as a memorial to honor her lasting impact, beauty and love. Please take a moment when visiting Swift River School to admire the care, effort and time SRS has given to remember this important human. 💜

Students and staff have been busy at Shutesbury Elementary and have started the year by taking an inventory of their learning strengths and areas they want to grow!!! This reflective learning sets the stage for authentic growth!
