📣 WALNUT FAMILIES — WE NEED YOU! 💙

School is officially back in session, our calendar is filling up, and some of our students’ favorite events of the year are right around the corner! 🎉

Here’s the thing… these events don’t happen without volunteers. ❤️

And before you think, “I just don’t have time to join the PTO…” — you don’t have to!

🙌 You don’t have to attend every meeting.
🙌 You don’t have to volunteer at every event.
🙌 You don’t have to take on a huge responsibility.
🙌 You don’t even have to know what you’re doing — we’ll help! 😉

Maybe you can give us 30 minutes.
Maybe you can work a game, serve food, decorate, help set up, clean up, sell tickets, or simply be an extra set of hands.

It ALL matters.

Our kids only get so many elementary school years. 🥹 These are the years they’ll remember — the Fall Festival, Winter Wonderland, the Sock Hop, the Color Run, and all those fun school moments in between.

Behind every one of those memories is a group of parents, grandparents, teachers, staff, and community members who said:

“Sure, I can help.” 💙

So this year, we’re asking you to say YES at least once.

✨ One event.
✨ One shift.
✨ One hour.
✨ One way to help.

You might be surprised by how much fun you have — and how excited your child is to see YOU there. 🥰

Way to go!!

You may have noticed something new along SR 47! ❤️🩶

Southmont Schools is proud to celebrate International STEM Accreditation across all four of our K–8 schools through STEM.org - an achievement that recognizes the incredible work happening every day at Southmont Jr. High School, Ladoga Elementary School, New Market Elementary School, and Walnut Elementary School.

This accreditation reflects years of intentional work by our teachers, staff, students, and community partners to create hands-on, real-world learning opportunities that build creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. From robotics and coding to agriculture, engineering, advanced manufacturing, and beyond, our students are gaining experiences that prepare them for wherever their futures may lead.

We’re incredibly proud of our students and staff - and we think this accomplishment is worth putting on a billboard!

Hello Walnut Families!! We are off to a phenomenal start to this school year and now we get to look forward to our incredible school events! The Fall Festival is a great family event that we all look forward to every year! However, it takes community support to make this happen! Any sort of donation helps, and makes this event one to remember, year after year! Please reach out via our page, if you feel that you want to donate! Thank you so much and we look forward to another amazing festival at Walnut Elementary!

All you’re agreeing to, is to receive my monthly emails about upcoming events, and where volunteer help is needed! We can’t make these awesome events happen without the support of our parents!

Hello Walnut Elementary PTO Families,

As we begin planning for the upcoming school year, we'd love your input!

We want our monthly PTO meetings to be scheduled at a time that works for as many families as possible. Your feedback will help us choose a meeting time that makes it easier for parents and guardians to attend and be involved.

Please remember this does not mean you have to attend meetings, but we would LOVE to see you there.
