Did you know that our men in formation in Orange have officially started classes at Seton Hall University? 📚✨ The new school year always brings incredible opportunities for growth, especially with the leadership of the new director of the Orange community, Fr. Ky Nguyen.

Keep praying for Brothers Lorenzo D’Alessandro, Tim Hughes, Joseph Vu, Jieo Tecson, Franky Chazhikattu, and Carlos Cerda, as well as for Candidate Rowan Pham.

Congratulations to our seven new Salesian Cooperators! 🥳👏

They made their promises last Friday during a school Mass at Archbishop Shaw High School in Marrero, La. The entire Shaw community gathered to celebrate.

Our newest Salesian Cooperators are Pat Brehm, Anthony DiFulco, Anne Early, Lance Ehret, Nicole Perque, Megan Sepvalado, and Macie Weaver.

Good news from Ecuador! 🇪🇨✨

Bro. Nicholas Jandernoa recently joined about 70 volunteers in the Sierra region for their training and special envió (sending Mass) at the Agronómico Salesiano de Paute.

"I was fortunate to be with them during the few days of training and at the Mass," Bro. Nicholas beamed.

Bro. Nicholas is currently spending a year in Ecuador taking an intensive Spanish course. Please join us in praying for him and all of our men in formation! 🙏💙

Today marks World Day of Prayer for Care of Creation and the beginning of the Season of Creation, which runs now through the feast of St. Francis of Assisi.

We pray for the continued care of creation and the environment, both local, regional, national, and global, through the intercession of St. Francis of Assisi. Through Jesus our Lord. Amen.

Congratulations to our Ramsey and Orange communities, which both celebrated momentous occasions this week!

On Tuesday, August 25, Br. Tom Dion was installed as the director of the Ramsey community. Additionally, Genaro Cantú and Luis Márquez were inducted into the prenovitiate.

The previous day, Fr. Ky Nguyen was installed as the new Director of the Orange community. The installations and inductions were given by Provincial Fr. Dominic Tran.

Pray for the Ramsey and Orange communities, as well as for all our communities throughout Canada and the Eastern USA.

Today we share more good news from Chicago, where the vibrant community of St. John Bosco-St. James Parish in Chicago came together for an unforgettable three-day celebration this month.

The parish honored the birthday of St. John Bosco, while simultaneously marking the solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The weekend of August 15-16 was a beautiful testament to the parish’s deep Salesian identity, devotion, and family spirit.

Three cheers for Camp Don Bosco at St. John Bosco-St. James Parish: Chicago, which was a roaring success this summer!

For five weeks, Camp Don Bosco welcomed over 200 campers aged 4 to 14 and more than 50 counselors, many of whom are youth and young adult volunteers.
