In a Reggio Emilia–inspired classroom, pretend play gives children the freedom to explore who they are, what they know and how they see the world. ✨

Pretend play supports language development, memory, flexible thinking, problem-solving, self-regulation, and the ability to see situations from someone else’s point of view.

It also builds so much confidence. 🤍 Every new role, idea, and imaginary scenario gives children a chance to make choices, use their voice, take the lead and trust their own ideas.

Dress-up is never just dress-up.

It’s creativity, connection, confidence and learning — all happening through play. ✨
