✨✨Want to be part of the fun? ✨✨

Our 2027 NR Fund Gala Planning Committee is getting started — and we’d love for you to join us!
The Gala is the our biggest fundraiser of the year, helping us provide student enrichment programs throughout New Rochelle public schools.

Never volunteered with the New Rochelle Fund for Educational Excellence before? Perfect! Come to our first volunteer planning meeting to learn about community involvement, meet others, and see if you might want to jump in.

There are lots of flexible volunteer opportunities, and you don’t need to make a big commitment to be part of the team.

First Gala Planning Meeting:
Wednesday, September 30 | 7:00–8:30 PM

Come for the ideas, stay for the fun! Help us make the 2027 Gala one to remember and fundraise for New Rochelle public schools!

💜 You’re Invited to Poetry Out Loud on Monday, May 18! 💜
Come experience an evening full of imagination, courage, laughter, and heartfelt poems from young writers across the school district.

For 28 years, The Jeremy Scheinfeld Publishing Center and the NR Fund have brought together families, educators, and community to celebrate the original voices of students in grades 3–6 — and we'd love for you to be part of it.

It's free. It's open to everyone. Come support our young poets.
See you there. 💜

CHECK THIS OUT! ♟️💜 We’re celebrating a win for New Rochelle students — literally!

The City of New Rochelle, NY awarded us a $9,800 THRIVE Grant to expand our Afterschool Chess program with National Scholastic Chess Foundation to include 5th graders across all elementary schools starting Fall 2026.

This year alone, 230 students in the The City School District of New Rochelle participated — and with demand exceeding capacity, we’re thrilled to grow the program so even more kids can join in.

Chess builds focus, confidence, and serious problem-solving skills. And we can’t wait to bring that experience to even more students!

Thank you to the City and our partners at the National Scholastic Chess Foundation for making this possible!
