✨ Idgham Without Ghunnah (إدغام بغير غنة)

Today, we are learning the second type of Idgham in Tajweed!

🔹 What is Idgham Without Ghunnah?

Idgham means merging one letter into the next. When Noon Sakinah (نْ) or Tanween is followed by ل (Laam) or ر (Ra), the Noon sound merges into the next letter without Ghunnah (nasal sound).

📚 The 2 Letters:

‎ل — ر

✅ Examples from the Quran:

‎📖 مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ
‎📖 هُدًى لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ

🌟 Easy Tip:

‎نْ / Tanween + ل or ر = Idgham Without Ghunnah

⚠️ Remember: The Noon sound merges into the next letter without holding a nasal sound.

Idgham with Ghunnah

Today we go deeper into Idgham and learn the first category: Idgham with Ghunnah (إدغام بغنة).

🔹 What is Idgham with Ghunnah?

When Noon Sakinah (نْ) or Tanween is followed by one of these 4 letters:

ي ن م و

the Noon sound is merged into the next letter with Ghunnah.

Easy way to remember:

يَنْمُو

The word يَنْمُو contains all four letters.

✅ Examples

مَنْ يَعْمَلْ
مِنْ وَالٍ
مَنْ نَصَرَ
مِنْ مَالٍ

In each example, the Noon sound merges into the following letter and the Ghunnah is held for 2 counts.

⚠️ Important: Idgham normally occurs when the Noon Sakinah or Tanween and the Idgham letter are in separate words.
