J. Kevin Devlin CFC, Ed.D., ’61 will receive The Brother William B. Cornelia Founders Award for Outstanding Service to the University on October 16th at the Alumni Awards & Homecoming Dinner. For more than 40 years, Brother James Kevin Devlin has helped educate Iona students and has played a pivotal role in building a campus community centered around service and kindness.

In 1976, the John G. Hagan Graduate School of Business Administration was formally dedicated, marking an important chapter in Iona’s tradition of preparing future business leaders. Fifty years later, that legacy lives on through the Robert V. LaPenta School of Business, where innovative programs, industry connections and a commitment to student success prepare the next generation to lead with confidence and make an impact.

Nationally recognized by The Princeton Review SAT & ACT, Colleges of Distinction and Poets&Quants Iona’s business programs continue to build on that legacy while preparing students for the future.

Tricia Collins Riccio ’91 will receive The Brother Arthur A. Loftus Award for Outstanding Achievement at this year’s Alumni Awards and Homecoming Dinner. This award recognizes and honors Ionians who have brought acclaim to the University by brilliant accomplishments in their chosen careers. This award, dating back to 1965, perpetuates the memory of Iona’s second president, Br. Loftus, who was also on the original faculty of the University.

Tricia attended Iona University as a recipient of the Winged Foot Scholarship, following in the footsteps of her seven older siblings. She is currently a Senior Director of Technology with A+E Global Media, where she received the prestigious Pete Sgro Award for Excellence. Tricia met her husband, John, at Iona, and together they have three children, all of whom have strong connections to the University. In 2025, Tricia was selected to chair Iona’s inaugural Parent Leadership Council while her twins attended Iona.

Nadia-Maria Matthie ’98 will receive The Brother Patrick B. Doyle Award for Distinguished Service to the Alumni Association at this year’s Alumni Awards and Homecoming Dinner. This award was instituted in 1968 in memory of one of the founding faculty members of Iona. Brother Doyle was revered as a classical scholar, a naturalist and a spiritual father to all Ionians of his era.

Nadia-Maria Matthie is an audit partner in the New York City office of WithumSmith+Brown, P.C., with more than 25 years of audit and advisory experience serving Fortune 100 companies and organizations across a broad range of industries. Nadia is deeply committed to community service, mentorship, and expanding opportunities for underrepresented students and professionals.

Dr. Nicole Genser ’21 will receive The Brother Robert A. Durning Rising Star Award at this year’s Alumni Awards and Homecoming Dinner. Established in 2016, this award honors recent Iona graduates who have already brought acclaim to the University through achievements in their respective fields.

Dr. Nicole Genser is an audiologist at the Center for Hearing and Communication in New York City. She earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from Montclair State University in 2025 and her bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Iona University in 2021. As a proud former Gael, she founded the American Sign Language Club at Iona to promote diversity and inclusion by raising awareness of communication modalities, breaking down language barriers, and amplifying the experiences of deaf and hard of hearing individuals. Inspired by her own experience growing up with hearing loss, Dr. Genser is dedicated to advancing equitable, family-centered hearing healthcare.

Joseph J. Guarracino ’89 will receive The Brother Arthur A. Loftus Award for Outstanding Achievement at this year’s Alumni Awards and Homecoming Dinner. Joseph Guarracino is Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer & Chief Financial Officer at White Plains Hospital. He came to the Hospital in 2016 with more than 25 years of experience in management and oversight of financial operations of healthcare institutions. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Finance at the LaPenta School of Business at Iona University and Long Island University, teaching a graduate class in healthcare finance management.
