Ms. Lisa’s 5th grade scientists have been busy exploring solubility through hands-on experiments! Students tested different substances to discover what dissolves, what doesn’t, and how materials interact when mixed with water.

Experiences like these bring science beyond the textbook—encouraging our students to observe, question, experiment, and discover while building critical-thinking skills along the way. 💡

When one of the most epic stories ever written comes to life on the big screen, our Senior English IV classes simply have to experience it!

Our seniors had the opportunity to take learning beyond the classroom and see literature in a whole new way—connecting the themes, characters, and storytelling they’ve studied in class with a cinematic interpretation.

At Catholic of Pointe Coupee, we believe some of the most memorable learning experiences happen when students have the opportunity to see, experience, and connect what they are studying to the world beyond the classroom. 💚🤍

Because great literature isn’t meant to simply be read—it’s meant to be experienced!

Today, our 6th grade students participated in the Blessing of the Bibles, a special tradition that reminds us that faith is at the heart of everything we do at Catholic of Pointe Coupee.

There is something truly special about watching our students grow not only academically, but also in their faith. From singing and participating to serving and leading during Mass, our students continue to show what it means to be active members of our Catholic community.

We are grateful for opportunities like these that allow our students to deepen their relationship with Christ and live out their faith alongside their classmates. ✝️💚

Faith. Leadership. Service. 💚🤍

Our junior members of Student Council proudly represented Catholic of Pointe Coupee at the Rotary Club of False River-New Roads’ Annual Ecumenical Prayer Breakfast on Tuesday, August 18.

This meaningful morning brought together students, educators, community leaders, and people of faith for fellowship, prayer, music, and a shared commitment to serving our community. We were especially proud of junior class representative Elizabeth Armand, who was invited to lead those in attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance.

The program, led by Rotary President Crystal Polar, featured musical performances by Pastor Kelvin Morris, guest speaker Lori Rockforte of the Iris Domestic Violence Center of New Roads, recognition of local schools, and a wonderful breakfast.

We are grateful to the Rotary Club of False River-New Roads for continuing to invest in local students, including its annual $500 scholarship awarded to a graduating senior who demonstrates academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to the community.

At CPC, we are proud to provide our students with opportunities that extend beyond the classroom—helping them grow in faith, leadership, service, and community while representing our school with pride. 💚🤍

✝️ Coming Together in Faith💚🤍

Tomorrow, our students in grades 1–12 will come together to celebrate Mass as one CPC family. We are grateful for these opportunities to step away from the busyness of the school day, worship together, and keep Christ at the center of all we do at Catholic of Pointe Coupee.

Mass Uniform Reminders:

One of our favorite CPC traditions continues! 💚🤍

Yesterday morning, our freshmen had the special opportunity to host the Class of 2027 for the annual Senior Breakfast—a tradition that celebrates connection, community, and the relationships that make the CPC experience so special.

There’s something meaningful about seeing our newest high school students serve and celebrate our seniors as they begin their final year at CPC. While one class is just beginning its high school journey, another is stepping into a year filled with meaningful “lasts,” milestones, and memories.

Traditions like Senior Breakfast are an important part of the CPC experience. They bring our students together across grade levels, strengthen our sense of community, and create memories that our students will carry with them long after graduation.

For our seniors, this breakfast marks the beginning of an unforgettable final chapter. For our freshmen, it offers a glimpse of the journey ahead and an opportunity to carry forward a tradition they’ll one day experience from the other side.

Thank you to our freshmen for being wonderful hosts and to everyone who helped make the morning so special.

🔬 Microscopes, Curiosity & a Little Friendly Competition! 🧫🦠

As the new school year gets underway, Mrs. Meek’s freshman Biology, senior Biology II, and senior Forensics classes are putting their microscope skills to the test with a fun Microscopy Challenge!

Students practiced focusing and using their microscopes to capture detailed images of objects of their choice. Their discoveries included everything from sugar crystals and microscopic organisms in pond water to hair samples, insects, snakeskin, flower petals, and more! 🔍

After capturing their best well-focused microscopic views, students uploaded their photos to Padlet for a “Best Image” contest. Then came the hard part—students voted for their favorite submissions! 🏆

We love seeing our students learning through exploration, technology, and a little friendly competition. Stay tuned… winners will be announced later this week! 👀
