— Livonia High School, Class of 2002

We may be one day late with , but the Class of 2002 memories are always right on time!

The year was 2002, and we were settling into the new millennium with flip phones, burned CDs, and dial-up internet that made you disconnect whenever someone needed to use the house phone.

Avril Lavigne had us all feeling “Complicated,” Nelly was getting “Hot in Herre,” and Vanessa Carlton had everyone attempting the piano intro to “A Thousand Miles.” Eminem’s The Eminem Show was everywhere, and if you had a CD binder full of the latest hits, you were basically carrying your whole music library with you.

Spider-Man, Star Wars: Episode II — Attack of the Clones, and The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers ruled the movie theaters, while Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets kept us wishing our acceptance letter from Hogwarts would finally arrive.

The very first American Idol crowned Kelly Clarkson, The Osbournes made reality television even bigger, and everybody still had an opinion about Survivor. AIM screen names and away messages said more about you than your yearbook quote ever could.

Your phone probably had T9 texting, maybe a camera if you were really ahead of the game, and your favorite songs came from the radio, a freshly burned mix CD, or whatever took all night to download. The second-generation iPod had arrived, but most of us were still carrying our music one CD at a time.

It has been 24 years since those halls, those Friday night games, and those memories made right here at Livonia High School. Can you believe it?

Tag a classmate who was there. We would love to hear your favorite memory in the comments.

📸✨ GUESS WHO?! ✨📸

We’re throwing it WAY back! 🕰️🎒

Before they were Administrators and Central Office Supervisors, they were students too! 🍎📚
Take a look at these familiar faces from their school days and see if you can figure out who they are! 👀🤔

💚 Same passion.
💛 Same purpose.
🌟 Making a difference—then and now!

Drop your guesses in the comments! ⬇️😂

Day 6 of our “On the Road Back to School” series takes us to Rosenwald Elementary School, home of the mighty Trojans! From classrooms to common areas, students were engaged in learning, asking questions, collaborating with classmates, and building excitement for the year ahead.

Teaching and learning were happening all across campus as Rosenwald’s dedicated educators created meaningful opportunities for every student to grow. The energy, enthusiasm, and Trojan pride were evident throughout the school.

As we continue visiting every campus in Pointe Coupee Parish, we are proud to celebrate the outstanding students, faculty, staff, and families who make each campus special. At Rosenwald Elementary School, the commitment to learning, growth, and success shines brightly every day.
