Surplus Sales Tax Fund Checks Approved

The Pointe Coupee Parish School Board has approved the surplus sales tax fund check for all salaried employees. Checks will be issued on Friday, October 16, 2026.

This continues a commitment that began in 2021. The Board has approved surplus checks each year since then, making this the sixth surplus check issued to eligible salaried employees. The first surplus check was issued on October 15, 2021.

We appreciate the dedication, professionalism, and daily contributions of our Pointe Coupee Parish School Board employees.

We love to see it! 💛💚 Wildcat students in the workforce for student internships!

Thank you to Livonia High School Alums, Michael and Alyssa Kern from Livonia Auto for being a community partner for our students and school!

Today, we had our first work-based experience signing with Michael Kern at Livonia Auto. Through the Star Academy program, students are receiving help in finding new job opportunities. Derrick Fountain signed on today after impressing the Livonia Auto staff.

Thank you to LHS alums, Michael and Alyssa Kern of Livonia Auto, for supporting our students and creating new opportunities!

The Livonia High School Student Government Association (SGA) is excited to announce our upcoming Man-A-Bag Service Project!

As part of our commitment to serving our community, SGA will be collecting essential items to create Man-A-Bags and sandwiches for individuals experiencing homelessness.

The completed bags and meals will be donated to a mobile food shelter to help provide basic necessities to members of our local community.

🛍️ What We Are Collecting

We are asking students, faculty, and staff to donate:

* Protein bars
* Socks
* Toothpaste
* Toothbrushes
* Wet wipes
* Deodorant
* Other travel-sized hygiene items

📅 Important Date

October 14, 2026

All donations collected at Livonia High School will be taken to the district workshop, where SGA members and other participating students will help package the Man-A-Bags and sandwiches.

This project is more than a donation drive — it is an opportunity for our students to practice service, leadership, compassion, and civic responsibility by giving back to our community.

We encourage everyone in the Livonia High School family to participate. Every donation makes a difference!

Thank you for supporting the Livonia High School SGA and helping us make a positive impact in our community.
