Tiny 🐔man you ran the roost and we are so sad you are gone 😭

I found Tiny shortly after morning chores against the barn wall with all his ladies and he was already purple and cold. We whisked him into the house and started breathing treatments, but his heart was shutting down and this time would be the last time we would provide emergency prayers and medical to our little warrior.

We have so many amazing testimonies 🙏🏻with this little guy, but this time it was his time to go rest.

He was found in a pullet bin as a tiny chick meaning a bin that was designated for hens only 🤔 Well much to our surprise and dread he began crowing at about 3 months old, but he had already stolen our hearts with his awkward nakedness and oversized head that never seemed to fit his tiny body.

He was truly a warrior 🗡️who always looked out for the hens and went after anything or anyone that made his girls squawk. He taught the young guys how to act and behave. He had a face only a mother could love 💕 and boy did she love him! We lost another Ranch icon this year 💔 rest well Tiny man.

Nature 🌵School has been busy learning about bees 🐝 and electric fences ⚡️plants 🌷 and planting 🪴herb gardens. We learned about the biblical feast of Sukkot ⛺️ and the bee -atitudes 🐝from the sermon on the mount 🏔️ We are having a blast with Miss Ella and her art 🎨 Classes!

We rode the horses 🐴 and began our farm 🚜science unit. We studied the anatomy of the cow 🐮and how a rumens digestion works, chicken 🐓 egg production and anatomy and enjoyed our guest speaker, the lovely Miss Nicole who taught us all about chicken care and gave us a chicken training demo!

Whew what a week! 🤠

We laid to rest our dearest and sweetest Borreguita 🐑yesterday 💔 We rescued her and her family back in 2017 from a neglectful situation. They often begged at a neighbor’s adjoining fence for food and water 😩They had never had any type of shelter and we were told several of her babies died in the elements. Ivy was the only one to survive because someone saw the neglect and intervened. She came with her new baby and was full of distrust and fear. They were using her to practice roping on and she was terrified of people. She also came with a surprise! Twins! They went to another rescue in Tucson when they were weaned.

She had come a long way here and had grown fond ♥️of the kids. She still remained shy, but had the kindest and sweetest demeanor. We all miss you old Mama 💔
