Sonshine Learning Center and Academy- New Richmond

Helping our six year old students grow is an important piece of our continued evidence-based work with young children!

Our private PreK program at Sonshine Learning Academy is set to begin on September 1st, and we are so excited to start introducing more about our program!

Meet The Science Guy: Mr. Nasset will be bringing amazing science experiences to our students and their families this year, as he has for students all over the world. We welcome him to the PreK team, helping to provide elevated learning experiences to our students in evidence-based, brain development rich ways!

Our five year old students have had amazing experience and brain development, and they will head off to kindergarten with the necessary skills to not only attend and learn, but to truly be amazing young people and eventual adults!

Four years old.

It’s an amazing time of growth and discovery, and intense brain development when surrounded by the appropriate stimuli and activity.

In our private PreK program, we continue the foundational work that is evident throughout our programming for young children, while increasing exposure learning and skill in ways that are unique to our private PreK program!
Some highlights include our SMART brain track, science with the “NASA Science Guy,” health and wellness lessons and nutrition, music experiences with a professional musician, physical education classes, process art experiences with local artists, and more!

This is a great community event!

We finished up our SUPERHERO VBS week learning about the greatest superhero… Jesus!

We sang, read, played, and learned an our way through the big idea that Jesus Loves Everyone!

There are so many amazing skills our students learn over the first three years of life, that all engage their brains and build on prior experiences in order to continue to grow and develop!

Fun fact: do you know that our current three year olds have early access to our private PreK program registration when it’s time to register? There they will continue whole child, evidence based learning that aligns with Wisconsin’s learning outcomes and top international research around best practices for young children.

We want to optimize the critical windows of brain development in meaningful ways.

Day one of Jesus is my superhero VBS: we’re focused on Joseph, where we learned that GOD helps us forgive!

Students learned, played, listened, sang and danced while learning. They also experienced a great visual of a friend so weighed down by being unwilling to forgive (the backpack loaded up with heavy books while they tried to walk), and the freedom that Jesus gives us through forgiveness!
