A great Fall Campout this past weekend. Lovely weather, pumpkin painting, delicious food and scary stories by the fire.

The AOLs raised $380 for families in Guatemala, and we have hundreds of toothbrushes and toothpaste to donate as well. Thank you to Mrs. O'Shea for helping them execute this wonderful service project! Thank you to everyone who donated!!!

The AOLS ARE REQUESTING YOUR HELP! Pack 268 and family members of the Cub Scouts, please help our AOLS with their second service project which is raising money for families in Guatemala. Send in $1 attached to a new toothbrush to either MP or TPH. The kids made posters and, with the help of their teacher Mrs. O'Shea, an announcement which was read on the loud speaker. Cub Scouts and Families!!! We are closer to our goal but not there yet! Can we meet or EXCEED the same sales goal as last year?? YES WE CAN! We are about $3,500 away from reaching our goal of $20,000. We appreciate all those families who are helping and contributing. We know it's hard to raise money for your kid's various activities and schools, and we appreciate the extra effort you've all made.

The Pack 268 Annual Fall Campout! Scouts and families had a great time together. The Cubs hiked, painted pumpkins, built scarecrows, enjoyed s'mores by the fire and overall just loved running around in the gorgeous Watchung Reservation for the day. Leaders taught our Cubs how to clean their mess kits after a meal, how to pick up litter, how to navigate a trail and how to leave a site better than you found it (leave no trace). Our community service was in the form of a beautification project this year - we built scarecrows! Two full-size fall scarecrows will be used to add seasonal charm to the schools in town, and will also be displayed at the Littel Lord Fall Fest for a day. We also announced that some of our Leaders were selected for BSA awards. We are proud to announce that Shane Kress and Mike LeBlond will receive the PEAK Award, and Cathy Larson will receive the Unit Leader Award of Merit!
