Our first Kindergarten Basics Session is coming to an end. We have had a fantastic month exploring our classroom, learning how to work together, playing with seasonally-themed sensory bins, and learning about letters and numbers. Our new Kindergarten Basics class is seasonally focused. We will integrate basic concepts of Language Arts, Phonics, Math, etc. using Montessori, Reggio-Emilia, and other joyful, fun-inspired approaches to encourage learning at the child’s pace!

Jamie will be the instructor for this class and started her career in early childhood education at Landmark Academy in Redding, CT in 2001 as an assistant in a 4-year-old classroom. That led her to realize she wanted to pursue learning about alternative educational methods. She went on to attend the West Side Montessori School’s Teacher Education program and interned at Whitby School in Greenwich, Ct in a 3-6 yr. old classroom. She has 14+ years of experience in this field. Now as a homeschool Mom of 4 she has continued on this path by seeing how her own children learn best and the perspective she’s gained has been life-changing. Jaime hopes that she can share what she has learned and support other families in their own journeys with their children!
