End of Day 1 at the The U.S. Open ISKA World Martial Arts Championships. Iron Dragon student Maxwell was unable to complete his clash sparring event after being medically forfeited after a series of uncontrolled head shots and needed to be evaluated for a concussion, thankfully he was not concussed.

Iron Dragon Instructor Ben Dodgin competed in ISKA Power Sidekick successfully breaking 11 of 11 boards but ultimately falling 1 spot short of moving on to the finals on Saturday.

Iron Dragon Instructor Zachary Dodgin also competed in ISKA Power Sidekick successfully breaking 10 of 12 boards but also failing to move onto the finals this year.

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of my very good friend and cofounder of Iron Dragon MMA, Thomas Williams. His passion and commitment to our students, families, friends and everyone he knew had no bounds and will leave a big void to fill. As a true practitioner of the martial arts he believed in the innate Perseverance of not only martial artists but of everyone he met. As such we will continue to carry on and honor his memory in not only our martial arts teachings but in our everyday lives. Please be respectful of the family during this time of mourning but feel free to share any pictures and stories that you would like to.
