🏆 Congratulations to Jody Jones for being recognized as the 2026 PHSC Distinguished Alumna of the Year at the 37th Annual Distinguished Alumni and Student Life and Leadership Award Recognition Ceremony on April 23 and at the District Board of Trustees' meeting on May 19!

💛 Born in Royal Oak, Michigan, Jody Jones began her academic journey at Pasco-Hernando Community College, where she earned her Associate in Arts degree in 1980. She later graduated from the University of South Florida and went on to dedicate 37 years to Pasco County Schools as a Business Education teacher and Career Specialist, shaping the futures of countless students. Throughout her career, Jones’s commitment to excellence was recognized with Teacher of the Year honors at three different schools.

🖤 Making a lasting impact beyond the classroom, she currently serves as the Florida Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Advisor, a role she has held for the past 27 years. Under her leadership, she continues to mentor and strengthen middle school, high school and collegiate FBLA chapters across the state.

Current and incoming Pasco-Hernando State College students can now apply for a Foundation scholarship for the 2026-2027 academic year. The priority deadline is April 10; however, applications are accepted and reviewed throughout the year.
