🍂 Happy First Day of Fall! 🍁

There’s so much for little minds to discover this season! From exploring changing leaves and cooler weather to noticing colors, textures, and the world around them, fall provides endless opportunities for hands-on learning and discovery. 🌻

Sensory experiences like collecting leaves, observing nature, and talking about seasonal changes help children build language skills, observation skills, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of the world around them. 🧡💜💚

Because every season brings a new opportunity to learn, explore, and grow!

What are some fun fall activities you enjoy with your children? Let us know below!

I, Ms. Jessica, wanted to share a feel good story about an encounter I had today. On my lunch break I went to the 7 eleven down the street from our school to get gas. While I was there I was looking under my hood and a young man came over to ask if everything was okay and if I needed any help. I told him I was good and thank you for asking. He saw my Discovery Point shirt and asked if I work at the one down the street. I told him yes and he said he grew up going there. It was back before I worked there but he said he loved it there and then went on to elementary school, middle school and just graduated high school this year. I said that was wonderful and thank you again for checking on me. I wished him all the best and he told me have a nice day. 🙂 This encounter was the perfect example of how Discovery Point hopes our children will grow up to be. We start the foundation not only with learning letters, numbers and motor skills but we have a great focus on social emotional development as well. We want our students to grow up showing kindness, compassion and care for others. ❤️
