Florida's strong future begins with strong investments in higher education.
At PHSC, we know firsthand how investments like this strengthen our communities and expand opportunities for students, helping prepare Florida’s future workforce.
We appreciate Governor DeSantis for bringing state education and finance leaders together to discuss investments that support the students our communities serve. Our communities succeed because of the impact made to assist our students.
Discussions like these at today’s Roundtable event at New College of Florida reflect important conversations across Florida about the future of higher education. These conversations are aiding the future of state colleges and universities.
Today at New College of Florida, I hosted a roundtable to highlight Florida’s continued leadership in education. Florida has ranked #1 in higher education for ten consecutive years because we’re committed to academic quality and value for students.
Education Secretary Linda McMahon has issued a national call to action for universities across the country to reaffirm their commitments to rigorous programs, research, and service. Today, I was proud to announce that Florida will be the first state in the nation to formally answer that call. We are hand-delivering a response letter signed by our 28 college and 12 university presidents to affirm our commitment to the highest standards of academic rigor and service to the nation.
I’m proud that Florida continues to serve as the national model for higher education.
