This semester, students at Plato Academy Trinity immersed themselves in the world of ancient Athens through a hands-on, interdisciplinary project guided by Greek teachers Ioanna Dede and Vasiliki Fournarakis. Their learning was enriched by the exceptional educational kits provided by the Acropolis Museum in Athens, offering authentic, museum-quality resources that brought history to life in the classroom.

Students worked with four major thematic kits from the museum:

Reconstructing the Acropolis
Using detailed models of the Acropolis Rock and its sanctuary buildings, students examined the size, proportions, purpose, and placement of each structure.

The Twelve Olympian Gods
Through illustrated myth cards, sculpture images, and individual booklets for each deity, students explored the myths, symbols, and cultural influence of the Olympians.

The Parthenon Frieze
With scaled molds of frieze blocks, photographs, students studied the Panathenaic procession and reconstructed scenes using both physical and digital tools.

A Greek Temple
Students learned about ancient Greek architecture by examining models of the Parthenon, column types, and design stamps, connecting concepts of symmetry, engineering, and artistic influence.

At the end of their project, students presented their new knowledge, demonstrating what they learned.

This collaboration between dedicated educators and museum resources created a meaningful learning experience that connected students in Florida with the heritage of Athens.

The Plato Plus Fairy Garden Workshop brought imagination to life for our youngest creators in kindergarten through second grade at Plato Academy Trinity. Each child designed a fairy house, selected a fairy figure, crafted a jar of pixie dust, wrote a fairy letter, and assembled a take‑home garden that reflected their own style and story.

Open‑ended crafting can be powerful for young learners. They experimented, problem‑solved, and built tiny worlds that were entirely their own.

Every child left with a completed fairy garden and all the items they created during the joyful session which blended art, storytelling, and play in a creative way.

Looking forward to more moments that spark imagination and confidence in our young makers through Plato plus.

Plato Academy Trinity students spent their Saturday morning giving back to the community with a clean‑up project at Sims Park. Proud to see young leaders taking action and making a visible difference. Community stewardship starts early, and it shows.
