Pasco-Hernando State College's Engineering Technology program prepares students for entry-level roles across advanced manufacturing, including machinist, assembler, and engineering technician positions. Students build critical thinking and problem-solving skills alongside a solid understanding of industry equipment, safety, and quality assurance, with stackable certificates available in Automation, Mechatronics, and Pneumatics/Hydraulics along the way.

Industrial engineering technicians earn a median wage of $66,120 a year nationally, with about 6,600 job openings projected annually.

🔥 Turn Your Passion Into a Career with the PHSC Fire Academy! Ready to protect lives, property, and the environment? PHSC’s Fire Academy provides top-tier classroom and hands-on training from experienced local agency instructors.

🐾 Program Overview: A comprehensive 16-week program divided into Firefighter I (191 hours) and Firefighter II (301 hours), totaling 492 hours of training.

🐾 Complete both Firefighter I and II courses.

🐾 Spring Academy Dates: Runs from January 12 to April 29, 2026.

🐾 Important Deadlines: The application window for the upcoming cycle runs from October 6 to November 6, 2026 (note: applicants must pass the Candidate Physical Abilities Test (CPAT) before submitting).
