🚨 New Google Business Profile update: Google can now pull in posts from your connected social accounts.

The feature is called the “Social Media Updates” carousel, and it can display your latest social content right on your profile.

That’s a pretty loud signal that social is becoming part of local SEO now. And yeah, I think it matters for AI visibility too.

If you want your posts to show up there:

1. Connect your social accounts to your Google Business Profile.
2. Keep those accounts active.
3. For the AI side of this, post more clearly about your services, products, offers, locations, and what you’re known for—not just entertaining or educational content.

If your social profiles stay active, Google may give that content more exposure. And the more specific you are about what your business does, the easier it is for AI tools to understand and surface your business.
