It's been a long while since I've last posted anything to this page. The tick project has gained momentum. Here is a website we've created to share results of our Borrelia prevalence testing.

Lyme Disease | New Philadelphia City Schools Tick Project This project engages students from New Philadelphia High School in examining pathogen prevalence in Blacklegged Tick populations.

This week we started a new project designed to examine habitat preferences of the Blacklegged Tick (Ixodes scapularis).

Today my Natural History classes will venture out to begin a study of our region's headwater streams and how land use has influenced them.
