Welty Middle School Cross Country

WMS XC is off to a great start this season. We started our season at the Claymont Invite. With a young team and some first time runners, both teams did great.

This weekend we ran at Ashland with some great competition. Our athletes went out and left it all on the course. Each athlete had a season PR (Personal record). Great job Quakers!

Preseason conditioning with the coach starts in a week. If you have a WMS 7th or 8th grader interested in running XC this fall, bring them to conditioning. Our season begins August 1.

We traveled to Indian Valley on Saturday to run in their invite for the first time ever. Our girls went out and gave it everything they had. It paid off as they received second place in the invite. Our two boys went out and set new personal bests for themselves as well. Overall we have a fantastic race weekend. Times for Saturday are as follows.

Our middle school runners ran hard at Dover today. It was a great day to run. Seven of our nine athletes had their career best on this, not so easy, course. Our girls finished 7 out of 9 teams.
