Thank you to the SUNY New Paltz Oracle Team for covering our recent contract ratification. Employee working conditions are student learning conditions!

With 97.7% voter approval, the United University Professions ratified a contract with New York State that includes SUNY New Paltz faculty and staff in Location Pay for the first time. The contract is in effect July 2, 2026, through July 1, 2031.

The UUP 2026-2031 Contract Ratification is still underway! All eligible members *SHOULD HAVE* received an email or postcard in the mail with a unique code to submit their vote. Votes must be submitted by 5:00pm on July 27th 2026.

Check your spam folders! The email would have come from UUP and the email address would have been: [email protected].

This is a strong five-year agreement that provides across-the-board raises in each year of the contract, includes retention awards for eligible employees, protects exceptional health benefits, establishes AI provisions, and contains expanded job and due process protections.

We urge you to vote yes on this contract, which will serve our membership well for years to come. The full contract language of the tentative agreement between UUP and New York state (indicating all additions and deletions) can be viewed on UUP's Members Only page on the UUP website. Additionally, you can review a copy of the PowerPoint presentation used during the campus ratification visits, as well as an overview of all the negotiated changes.

In solidarity,
Megan

Dear UUP Members-

I'm happy to report that there is indeed a tentative agreement on the table!

Yesterday the Statewide Negotiations Committee met in Albany to share the details of the Tentative Agreement (TA). Today the committee voted unanimously in favor of presenting the agreement to UUP membership.

I have scheduled a presentation on the details of the TA to be made to our campus membership next Wednesday June 10th at 10:00am. We will meet in-person on campus at the Terrace OR you can join via ZOOM.

Please Email Mary Thompson ASAP to RSVP for in-person. We need a headcount for refreshments. [email protected]

If you are interested in joining via ZOOM you must register here:
