There is a materials fee of $15.00 per person payable to the instructor at the beginning of each class. All classes will take place at 30 North Chestnut Street (rte 32 north) at the Jewish Community Center in New Paltz (the old Dominick's Restaurant).

Tonight's Class "Asian Fusion-Takeout Revenge" will be rescheduled in February. I am checking availability at the JCC and will keep you posted. Stay home, stay warm and do anything but take-out! LOL!

Asian Fusion (Take-Out Revenge!!!) still has room for three more students! Class starts tomorrow (Wednesday 1/16 ) at 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. C'mon and get in on the fun-classes are small and intimate with a one on one feel. Sushi, Sesame Noodles, Szechuan Sauce, Korean Spicy Noodle and Lion's Head (chinese meatballs) will all be taught and devoured!!!

1/24 Kan You Knish? Making Hot Knishes on a cold evening-almost nuthin' better! Potato, Kasha, Broccoli Cheese and such a dough! Oy!

This is the most fun you're going to have while cooking and learning some great techniques and recipes. Bring a friend or relative for a great night out and see all the wonderful things you'll create. And don't forget the kids! Look for my upcoming "Catch a Rising Chef" series and drop the kids off for a fun-filled Sunday and give yourself a break as well!

Class Schedule and Descriptions

November:

7th : Super Soups: Start out with a great, simple stock and you can't fail! We'll be making 5 wonderful soups that will please the most finicky of appetites and warm the coldest of souls. Both vegetarian and meat recipes will be explored. Bring a sharp knife and containers for your soups-soup spoon is optional!

8th. : Asian Fusion-Secrets of the Orient :Learn how to make Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Korean Specialties (including sushi) and never do "take-out" again!

14th. Edible Centerpieces : Make your very own gorgeous centerpiece with hand sculpted fruits or vegetables. Bring out the dips and watch your guests be amazed at your talents. Bring a small sharp paring knife and peeler.
15th. Kan You Knish? Almost nuthin’ better than a warm knish on a cold evening. We will make three different kinds: Potato, Kasha, and Broccoli with Cheese. And trust me darling-there will be such a dough! Bring some containers for your knishes.

28th. Say Cheese……….Cake! Now here’s a chance to make the world’s favorite dessert in all it’s glory: N.Y. Style, Pumpkin, Chocolate Truffle and Pecan Praline Cheesecakes will all be the new main courses at your next pa2rty!

29th. Grandma or Grandpa and Me! Here’s the best opportunity to bridge the generation gap and make a wonderful meal at the same time. Kids must be 9 and older . Bring two knives you are BOTH comfortable using.
