has a research and training mission concerning substance use disorders and mental health issues. BPTI was incorporated in June of 2010 and received non-profit status in September, 2010. Our belief is that clinicians benefit from trainings in Best Practices, and the result of the dissemination of Best Practice trainings is better treatment, better health and better mental health. BPTI investigates

substance use disorder (SUD) and mental health (MH) training effectiveness in order to formulate effective training for SUD and MH practitioners. We formulate and offer trainings for SUD and MH practitioners based on the survey results. The content and method of evaluation of SUD or MH trainings is scrutinized and approved by both the NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) and the National Association of Social Workers prior to the public offering of any training. The first workshop, Families and Addictions, was presented in March of 1997 in New Paltz, NY. The second workshop, Youth at Risk for Substance Abuse: Prevention and Resilience was presented in July of 2008 and July of 2010 in Ulster, Orange, and Sullivan counties and in NYC at Fordham University in March of 2011. The third workshop, concerning Best Practices CBT, Motivational Interviewing and Integrated Treatment, was offered in January, 2013 in New York City. In 2014, we are going online to offer workshops in CBT, Motivational Interviewing and Integrated Treatment across the country.

Our Story

Best Practice Trainers, Inc. (BPTI) was incorporated in June of 2010 as an non-profit organization with a research and training mission for mental health and substance use disorders. It received non-profit status in September, 2010. We believe that clinicians benefit from trainings in Best Practices and that disseminating trainings in Best Practice results in better treatment, better health and better mental health. For that reason, we investigate training effectiveness so that we can improve our trainings for practitioners. We have a current offering of webinars in October of 2018 that provide CEs for SWers and LMHCs in New York State. A list of those webinars and additional previous workshops is below. The content and method of evaluation of SUD or MH trainings is scrutinized and approved by the NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS), the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), and the New York State Education Department (NYSED) prior to the public offering of any training. We are currently qualified to offer CEs to SWers and LMHCs in New York State, and CEs to re-credentialing CASACs. Note that all webinars or online trainings below are priced between $29 - $39.
