G’day from Australia! Im Ricky and I’m a third year psychology student currently studying at Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia!

📍South Beach
Australian beaches are the best I’ve ever seen, I’ve never even seen water this color before! There were some 🦀 hiding out which I found really cool!

📍Elizabeth Quay
This is the city of Perth! Taken from Elizabeth Quay which is this fun harbor with restaurants and shops and even a carousel. All of Perth feels so modern to me!

📍Perth Zoo
Koala!!!! I have more pictures I can post of koalas on the story upon request! They are even cuter than I’d imagined, like seriously look at him. 2 of my friends made this picture their lockscreen.

📍Transperth bus!
Making friends is probably the aspect I was the most scared of before getting here, but if you put yourself out there and are kind to others, people will just gravitate to you! I found it really easy to connect with other study abroad kids, so the everyone pictured is either English, Scottish, German, or Belgian! Don’t worry guys I am making a good impression on behalf of America! They actually said I’ve changed their negative impressions of Americans!

📍Lancelin Sand Dunes
I tried and failed to sandboard! Despite the fall it was still super fun and would recommend!!!

📍King’s Park
This is my favorite place in all of Perth!!! It’s super cool and larger than Central Park!

📍Scarborough Beach
This is my favorite beach!!!
More pictures if you swipe a little

📍The Bell Tower
Perth’s bell tower is one of the largest musical instruments in the world! It reminds a lot me of the atrium at new paltz.

📍Docklands, Melbourne
I got to see Melbourne for a couple hours during my layover!

📍King’s Park
me aura farming at kings park

📍Scarborough Beach
Because Perth is on the western side of the continent, the sunsets are unmatched! Swimming in the Indian Ocean is super fun too.

📍The Pinnacles
The pinnacles are land formations created thousands of years ago from receding seashells. Curtin’s abroad program organizes cool trips for us exchange kids to see things further outside of Perth that we otherwise wouldn’t be able to see! This was a super fun day w

Hello from Milan!
My name is Violet and I’m an incoming senior at New Paltz, studying digital media production! I’m studying at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore; I’m taking three cultural studies courses while here, ranging from Italian wine culture to mafia representation in media.
I’m so excited to have the opportunity to be here for six weeks and it feels crazy that four have already passed. I’ve been lucky enough to do some traveling while here; I’ve already been to Pavia, Turin, and Bologna and am going to Florence my final weekend.
As an art history lover, getting to go to so many museums across cities has been a highlight of my time here.

Dobrý den from Prague! 🇨🇿 My name is Sadie Leia Watkins, and I'm an incoming senior majoring in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and minoring in Political Science. Through SUNY New Paltz, I'm taking a 4-week ECES (East and Central European Studies) program at Charles University.

This experience has been a once in a lifetime opportunity that wouldn't be possible without the Global Learning for All scholarship. This scholarship helps significantly to lift the financial burdens that always accompany studying abroad; it makes this experience possible, and I couldn't be more grateful!!

Enjoy some photos from my time here!
1. A photo of me standing in front of the Charles Bridge
2. My roommates and I on a boat cruise welcome event hosted by ECES that cruised the Vlatava River, the main river that runs through Prague
3 & 4 are photos from a trip through the program to the city of Plzeň
3. The Great Synagogue, the third largest synagogue in Europe
4. The brewing room at the Pilsen-Urquell brewery! Fun fact: all the Pilsen-Urquell beer that is consumed worldwide is made in this room!
5. Vietnamese food from Linh
