This month, Dillard University stands in solidarity with survivors, honors those we have lost, and recognizes the strength of those continuing their journeys.

Awareness is more than wearing a ribbon—it’s about education, prevention, early detection, support and creating spaces where individuals feel safe to speak up and seek help.

Let’s use this month to check in on one another, share trusted resources, encourage regular health screenings, and remind those experiencing domestic violence that they are not alone.

Together, we can raise awareness, amplify hope and help build a community rooted in compassion, courage and care.

Save the date!

Dillard University is excited to announce that Dr. Joyce Roché '70 will serve as our 2026 Founders Day speaker!

A proud alumna, former Chair of the Board of Trustees, and now Trustee Emerita, Dr. Roché is a trailblazing executive, author, and leadership advisor. She was Avon's first African American female vice president and later led Girls Inc. and Carson Products Company.

This year's program will also include a special tribute to trustee, benefactor, and legacy bearer David B. Dillard. Dr. Roché led the Board of Trustees during Mr. Dillard's years of service, and we are humbled to honor him alongside his family.
