Yesterday, we had the privilege of welcoming two treasured Holy Name of Jesus alumni back to campus: Peter Michell, Class of 1959, and Coach Kevin Trower, Class of 1949.

Their visit was especially meaningful as Coach Trower had the opportunity to see our new gymnasium firsthand. A beloved coach who touched the lives of countless HNJ students, Coach Trower’s legacy continues to inspire generations of Gators.

We are deeply grateful to Peter Michell for his generous gift to name the athletic court in honor of Coach Trower, ensuring that his impact on our school community will be remembered for years to come.

Thank you, Peter and Coach Trower, for being such an important part of HNJ’s past, present, and future.

What was once a dream, prayed for by generations of Holy Name families, is now a reality.

Yesterday, we officially opened and blessed our new Little Gators building, gymnasium, playground, and classroom spaces in what was truly a a historic milestone in the life of Holy Name of Jesus School.

This moment is the culmination of years of prayer, planning, generosity, and faith. More than 1,000 donors came together to support our Foundations for the Future campaign, helping us create spaces where children will learn, play, pray, and grow for generations to come.

As we cut the ribbon and walked through these newly blessed halls, we were reminded that this building is about so much more than bricks and mortar. It is a testament to the strength of our community, our commitment to Catholic education, and our belief in the bright future of every child entrusted to our care.

To every donor, volunteer, parishioner, alumnus, parent, student, faculty member, and supporter who helped make this day possible: thank you. You are the Foundation for the Future.

We can’t wait to welcome our students home this August. ❤️🐊

Today at our annual Candle Mass, our 7th Graders officially passed the torch of leadership to the Class of 2027. 🕯️❤️

This beautiful HNJ tradition marks both the close of one chapter and the beginning of another, as our 6th Graders step forward to become the leaders of our school community next year. We are so proud of the example our 7th Graders have set and excited to watch our rising leaders continue to grow in faith, service, and leadership.

Go light your world, Gators! ✨
