Sadly, this is our last week functioning as the Loyola University Whelan Children's Center. It has been a pleasure serving the children and families of our community and the university.

In celebration of "Juneteenth", the Whelan Children's Center will be closed on Monday June 21, 2021 and resume operations on Tuesday, June 22, 2021.

Good Morning Whelan Families,

Let’s face it. This school year has been weird. But we’re getting through it, in part thanks to our center amazing educators. Next week is Teacher Appreciation week, so please take a moment to thank your child Teacher’s during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 3-7.

Teachers change the lives of millions of children every day and in a year where instruction could be virtual, in-person or a mix of both, their immense work and impact have provided a much-needed sense of community and connection. Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, our teachers are working hard to ensure every student has the tools they need to reach their full potential.

Reminder: The Whelan Children's Center will be closed on April 14, 2021 due to the university allocated liberal day. The center will reopen back on April 15, 2021.
