As we prepare for the 2024-2025 school year, we’re excited to share this year’s governance chart! Our annual infographic offers a clear snapshot of all public schools in New Orleans, including a notable update - NOLA-PS will run its first direct-run traditional public school since 2019.
The chart shows the structure of our unique K-12 system, listing schools by charter operators and governing authorities, with grade levels included.
Explore the full chart by visiting the link in our bio. We hope this visual guide helps our community navigate the ever-evolving educational landscape of New Orleans. If you have any questions or would like a printed copy of the chart, please contact Vincent Rossmeier at [email protected].
Wishing everyone a great start to the new school year!

Join us virtually next Thursday, May 9th, for the final meeting of the year. We will be diving into the education landscape in New Orleans, exploring our Life After High School data, compiled by Cowen Institute’s Data & Research team.

We’ll also share insights into college enrollment based on demographics, such as household income, race, and high school.
