Getting to work with a whole cast is the best.
Swooping in for the first time to coach season 2 of was such a fun challenge.
Since the actors already established their characters and accents in season 1, we could really focus on deepening those connections and embodiments!

Some snippets of dialect coaching this year…
Since I mostly teach on zoom, it’s often the in-person work that makes the most impact.
Highlights were working on Netflix tv sets in Mexico City and North Carolina, seeing my coaching work on the big screen for the , hosting a workshop for black actresses with , speaking at the conference, playing voice professor at Tulane University, coaching two plays for Le Petit theatre, getting to meet clients in the flesh who I had only met on zoom, and filming season two of my Unmuted show visual podcast (yes I burned out and never released it, but this is a new year now; who knows).
It feels like Hollywood is still trying to find its feet after the strikes and the LA fires and productions going international. Rumors have it that the golden age of film is over.
BUT. The only certainty in life is that things change. I have no idea what this new year will hold, but I feel incredibly grateful to love every aspect of what I do, and to have gotten to do it for the last 11 years.
So to 2026—ready or not, here we gooo!

It’s always special to see a movie I coached on the big screen. This time it was the two female leads in Springsteen—Odessa Young and Gaby Hoffman.
Congratulations to both of them and especially to Odessa on her breakout performance as Bruce Springsteen’s lover. Go see it!
