The Pathway to Independence project expands what's possible for our students with autism.

Created for Explorers (high school-age) and Path (adult) students, this home learning environment offers students the opportunity to build life skills, explore vocational readiness, and practice everyday routines in a setting designed to foster confidence and independence.

Because some of life's most important lessons are learned by doing.

🧑 They say it takes a village, and we couldn't agree more.🀝

As the ESL Chartwell Center continues to grow with our Thalia Street campus expansion, we're incredibly grateful for the community that continues to build alongside us.

A special thank you to ESL Chartwell parent Wilmer Ramirez and Wr Builder & Millwork Llc for helping connect our new campus to our existing school. Your generosity is helping create even more opportunities for our students with autism to learn, grow, and thrive.

Anchors aweigh! βš“πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Our Easterseals Louisiana Chartwell Center students and teachers had a wonderful time at the Riverwalk, meeting sailors during Sail 250's stop in New Orleans. As the city kicked off this nationwide celebration of America's 250th anniversary, our students had the opportunity to experience a unique piece of history in the city we call home.

We were proud to be a small part of this exciting celebration and grateful for the chance to create meaningful memories with our students along the way. πŸ’™βœ¨

What an impactful afternoon at the Pathway to Independence Open House πŸŒ±πŸŽ‰

We are incredibly grateful for the turnout of parents, community partners, supporters, and families who joined us to explore the new Thalia Street expansion and learn more about the future of independent living opportunities for adults with autism.

This Open House marked an exciting new chapter for the Easterseals Louisiana Chartwell Center as we continue expanding opportunities for high school-age and adult students with autism and their families throughout our community.

A special thank you to our dedicated parents and staff who worked tirelessly to help prepare the new home for this meaningful milestone πŸ’š
