This past August, New Orleans Music Education Collaborative (NOMEC) hosted the 3rd annual Back to School Jam. We showed up to meet guests at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) for this free open-house style showcase of youth music programs. Visitors learned about class offerings and programs, met members of our team, and enjoyed live performances.

Trombone Shorty Academy is a free after-school music program educating New Orleans youth in grades 8-12. Led by Artist Educators, enrolled students are immersed in ensemble instruction while learning the history and theory which is so deeply entwined in New Orleans music.
