SHE SAVED A CITY WITH HER WORDS. (Full video)
No weapon. No army. No position of power.
Just wisdom, courage, and the willingness to speak up.

Today I’m talking about the wise woman of 2 Samuel 20:16–22.
A man named Sheba was threatening the city of Abel, and David’s army commander, Joab, was coming to destroy it.
But there was a woman in that city who basically said:
“Not on my watch.”
The Bible calls her a wise woman.
And I love this story because she didn’t sit back and wait for someone else to fix the problem. She recognized what was happening, took a deep breath, and spoke up.
And I have to believe she was scared.
Because courage doesn’t mean you aren’t afraid.
Courage means you move forward even when you are.
And look at how she handled the conflict:
1️⃣ She took the first step.
She spoke up.
2️⃣ She spoke to the right person.
She went directly to Joab, the commander.
3️⃣ She asked questions.
“What do you want? Why are you coming against our city?”
4️⃣ She offered a solution.
“If you get what you came for, will you leave the city alone?”
5️⃣ A deal was made.
6️⃣ The plan was executed.
And the city was saved.
BY WORDS.
No weapon was used.
Now, obviously, I’m not suggesting we’re going to cut somebody’s head off and throw it over the wall. 😂
Although… let’s be honest… there are days we may want to.
But that’s not the point.
The point is this:
As Christian women, leadership can be complicated.
There is a certain way we are called to lead — with wisdom, humility, courage, discernment, and grace.
You can have all the knowledge in the world.
But knowledge doesn’t become wisdom until you know what to do with it.
And sometimes God is going to put you in a situation where He is asking you to step forward, speak up, ask the hard question, and help create a solution.
You don’t have to be the loudest person in the room.
You don’t have to have the title.
You don’t have to know exactly how everything is going to work out.
Sometimes you just have to take a deep breath…
and speak.
That is leadership.
That is courage.
And sometimes, your words can accomplish what weapons never could.
