Today, the College of Music and Media honors the life and legacy of Adelaide Wisdom Benjamin, a visionary leader, philanthropist, and champion of the arts.
Adelaide Wisdom Benjamin understood that music and the arts are essential to the cultural fabric of New Orleans, and her generosity helped ensure that Loyola students would have the opportunity to learn, create, and lead for generations to come.
At Loyola, her impact spanned decades, from serving on the Board of Trustees and leading major capital campaigns to receiving an honorary doctorate and the Integritas Vitae Award for her integrity, character, service, and leadership.
Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones as we celebrate a life beautifully lived in service to others.
