Today, the College of Music and Media honors the life and legacy of Adelaide Wisdom Benjamin, a visionary leader, philanthropist, and champion of the arts.

Adelaide Wisdom Benjamin understood that music and the arts are essential to the cultural fabric of New Orleans, and her generosity helped ensure that Loyola students would have the opportunity to learn, create, and lead for generations to come.

At Loyola, her impact spanned decades, from serving on the Board of Trustees and leading major capital campaigns to receiving an honorary doctorate and the Integritas Vitae Award for her integrity, character, service, and leadership.

Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones as we celebrate a life beautifully lived in service to others.

But how do the parents feel? 🥹🎓 We talked to the proud parents of CMM graduates at our graduation party and were touched by what they had to say.

Over and over, parents told us that the personal connection to professors and peers, the outstanding education, and the amazing opportunities Loyola provided blew them away.

They were emotional as they spoke about the growth and maturity they witnessed in their adult children during their time at Loyola.

Congratulations to our graduates AND their families!
