Black History Month may be behind us on the calendar, but at Martin Behrman, the celebration continues every day.
We do not just teach history, we build it. Our Stingers show up curious, confident, and full of promise, carrying forward a legacy of resilience and excellence while creating their own stories of impact. From Algiers to wherever their dreams take them, they are rising with purpose.
And we are proud of every single one of them.

Students at Martin Behrman Elementary were honored to receive a powerful history lesson on the legacy and cultural impact of the Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club, led by the organization’s historian, Clarence A. Becnel.
The experience was made even more meaningful as students were inspired and encouraged by King Zulu 2026, Dr. Ron Tassin, reinforcing pride, leadership, and the importance of knowing our history.
