📣SUPPORT OUR FISCAL SPONSOR FOR GIVENOLA DAY! | Tuesday, May 5

(🔗Donate at link in bio)

Cooperation New Orleans WOULDN'T BE what it is today without the support, guidance, & financial stewardship of Builders of the Highway Foundation (BOTH).

BOTH stepped up to support the co-op ecosystem at a critical time when our community vowed to organize ourselves to meet our needs & build a sustainable solidarity economy beyond systems that leave us behind.

⭐Now, it’s time to show them that we have their back, just like they’ve had ours!

This GiveNOLA Day, we ask you to give what you can toward BOTH’s $75,000 goal to build community ownership & sustain the spaces where we gather, create culture, & most importantly, deepen our ancestral practices of cooperation / mutual aid.

💵We collectively pledged $11,000+ to resource the solidarity economy in New Orleans!💵

Last Saturday, the Cooperation New Orleans Rainmakers ☔ gathered with friends for a powerful “Money Talk” workshop where we practiced:

💚 Building skills for 1-on-1 fundraising & resource gathering
💚 Connecting with folks growing the solidarity economy in New Orleans
💚 Organizing resources to strengthen Cooperation NOLA’s ongoing work

We shared a nourishing, seasonal meal by .coop. We loved the parallel learning + childcare space hosted by the Ujima Childcare Krewe (), where our little ones reflected on solidarity, Jamaica, and Hurricane Melissa. 🌱💪🏾

We’re inspired by and want to shout out solidarity economy partners like:

🔍Just a quick recap from our time at this past weekend! We had a ball talking to folks about cooperative economics and our educational and research initiatives like Cooperation Gumbo and the Black Liberation Co-op Academy.

💚We enjoyed the church choir, DJ, Artists, food vendors and all of the community organizations that came out to celebrate the Historic Bayou Road!
