ricRACK was started by Alison Parker, as an idea to keep the costume culture in New Orleans as rich as it ever was. After seeing less kids at Halloween, and less in a costume, I wanted to find ways to can bring my world of costuming in film/tv/theatre to the communities of New Orleans. Join artist Nikola Janevski for a two-night Fashion Mixed Media Master Class at ricRACK! Learn appliqué, hand-sewing, collage techniques, and a finish with a garment that comes out entirely yours. Bring a denim jacket or button-down to adorn, or grab one from us. Basic sewing experience only.

Your friendly reminder: tomorrow is textile recycling and donation drop off day.
♻️Monday May 18th, 9a-1p.
Drop off your worn, stained and end of life textiles, so they can be recycled, and NOT end up in a landfill($5/lb).
🪡🧵👗 Donate your re-usable clothing and fabrics that can be used in our sewing classes and RE-use Store.
📌These collection days are on the 1st and 3rd Mondays at 321 Burgundy.
If you want to drop off another day or time, we can schedule something more convenient for you.
