New Orleans Toastmasters, Club 234

Toastmasters was lively and what a Tabletopics! We talked about power, its uses, meaning and how we cultivate it for the betterment of all. Thanks Kristy for a great thought provoking Tabletopics!

Two speeches today: one about health span versus lifespan and the other about Toastmasters Basecamp and Learning Hub! Thank you, Jim! And this is the first ever speech where a monitor was used! Go Jim!!!!

Table topics was led by no other than the great Kenneth LaFrance (AKA Mr. Grumpy but deep down inside he’s a kind heart) had some stellar questions!!!!

Peep who the winner of table topics was congrats, Augustine!!!

Trey was asked what relaxes him? and he responded about play, making friends as an adult and added that the thing that would help me and society is finding the things from childhood that used to relax him. Playgrounds for adults would be a great way to that.

And I agree! Anyone miss hop scotch, and the monkey bars like me?

Club 234 making waves in the NO, we had a speech about bystander effect, the misuse and use of cell phones in our lives, and an impromptu speech on how a singular moment change the way one had an outlook on life.

Trey was our acting president and came with the goodies. We had Korean candy y’all.

We had a few guests who are strongly considering membership. In speaking of membership -membership dues are due to Gant by today, tomorrow the latest.
