School of Science and Engineering - Tulane Give Green 03/21/2023

Please consider making a gift to the School of Science and Engineering before midnight tonight. The dollar amount doesn’t matter- it’s the sheer number of people that counts. It can be as little as $10.00. What’s more, if SSE stays in the top 3 schools for most donors (people), we “win” additional dollars. Again, all size gifts matter.

School of Science and Engineering - Tulane Give Green Tulane's School of Science and Engineering is a top-tier research university with a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate education. By bringing together science and engineering, Tulane is able to provide outstanding opportunities for learning and discovery and foster an environment th...

Please join me in congratulating two of our faculty members! Diyar Talbayev (PI) and Denys Bondar (co-PI) have been awarded a $1M grant from the Keck Foundation for "Optical superoscillations in time domain: ‘seeing’ through opaque matter and wavelength conversion without nonlinearity”.

As explained by Prof. Bondar, superoscillations have been theoretically predicted to occur when several long wavelengths destructively interfere so that the resulting oscillation locally appears to have a much shorter wavelength. The proposed project aims to lay the foundation for new generations of technologies for optical sensing, telecommunication, and laser sources.

Indigenous Tribes of New Orleans & Louisiana 10/12/2020

Indigenous Peoples Day: Today we celebrate the people who first called the United States home. We remember the struggles and tragedies they endured. We honor their place in and contributions to the shared story of America. Physics and Engineering Physics recognizes, with respect, that the land we are on today is the ancestral homelands of the Chitimacha, Houma, and Chahta Yakni (Choctaw) Nations and peoples. We encourage you to dive deeper into New Orleans' history by following this link: http://www.ala.org/aboutala/offices/nola-tribes.

Indigenous Tribes of New Orleans & Louisiana The American Library Association would like to acknowledge the indigenous history of New Orleans, and more broadly, Louisiana, and recognize the Chitimacha Tribe of Louisiana, the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana, the Jena Band of Choctaw Indians, and the Tunica-Biloxi Indian Tribe of Louisiana.
